October 15, 2011: Stacy & Jared
Maura and I joined Jared & Stacy for their ceremony at St. Colette. I had photographed Stacy's Sis's Wedding a few years back. So I was excited to be hanging out with their families again. It was so much fun celebrating another joyous occasion with this family. Jared & Stacy were FULL of joy all throughout the ceremony. It was great watching them exchange glances throughout the ceremony and sneaking little smiling glances. The Priest was such a funny guy. He made everyone laugh. I generally don't listen to closely to the officiant but he really commanded attention. It was just a wonderful experience!
We headed to Skyview Lodge afterwards for photos & the reception. It was a VERY windy day. For a little while, I didn't think we would get to go outside but the Bride braved her veil and the wind. After photos, the guests started showing up for the evenings festivities. We had a lot of fun photographing Steph's kids throughout the evening. It was amazing to watch the way Stacy and Jared treated their guests. They were so caring and affectionate with everyone. It was just so joyful!!
Thank you so much for making me a part of the evening. I loved being with you both on your special day!

Melody & Matt
Melody and Matt were looking for a "different" kind of location for their After Wedding Session. So we headed to Lakeview Cemetary for some awesome architecture. It was freezing but Melody was a trooper. She walked around like it was the middle of July. We had a lot of fun laughing and chatting together. :-)

October 8, 2011: Nikki & Rick
Jamie & I joined Nikki & her Bridesmaids for some getting ready photos before the ceremony. They were so much FUN.
Then we headed over to St. Robert & William Catholic Church for the ceremony. Everyone was so excited for Nikki & Rick. I loved watching Nikki walk down the aisle in front of the big stained glass window at the back of the church. They were so cute whispering to each other throughout the ceremony. Their Priest also had such a great sense of humor so it was a great experience listening to the service. Rick had the BIGGEST smile on his face at the end of the ceremony. They are just so sweet together.
We stopped off at a park inbetween to take some photos. It was a PERFECT fall day. The trees were so beautiful. The whole group had such a great time laughing and teasing each other. Then we moved over to Squire's Castle for some images. I just love shooting here. I could go back over and over again.
We ended the day partying at the Radisson in Eastlake. Nikki & Rick were so funny when they cut the cake. There were some very heartfelt and funny toasts. After dinner, all the dancing started. And the crazy-ness began. :-)
It was such a pleasure spending the day with you both and your Bridal Party. We had such an amazing time. Thank YOU!!!

October 1, 2011: Meg & Steve
When Meg, Steve and their Wedding Planner, Deb, told me they were planning a pirate wedding, I was all about jumping in. I couldn't wait for October 1st. And Meg & Steve didn't disappoint. :-)
We stopped at their hotel to do some getting ready images for Meg. Hanging out with her and her Bridesmaids was so much fun. Meg was full of smiles and so excited about the day.
Unfortunately the wind and rain nixed an outside beach ceremony so we headed to Meg & Steve's friend's home for some images before the Wedding. Luckily their beautiful home was literally right on the Lake. So we were able to get some water in the background. It was also the first moment that Steve & Meg saw each other. It was amazing to watch them. They are so in love. I love love.
Then we headed to the Reception site which served as the new Ceremony site. They had a large anchor set up as the ceremony location. It was pretty darn cool. EVERYONE dressed up. I think maybe one or two couples didn't. It was awesome. The ceremony was beautiful. Steve's kids and some close friends of the couple were included as wedding party attendants.
After a large group image with everyone dressed in their pirate garb, they party began. There were sword fights, skulls in the bathroom, crossbones on the cupcakes, tons of booty in the form of yummys and ships to eat in the middle of every table. The couple were very excited about the whole pig which they served for dinner. And it was delicious!
I had so much fun. Congratulations Meg & Steve!

September 17, 2011: Pete & Erin
Maura & I joined Pete & Erin at the Wyndham Hotel for their Wedding & Reception. We started out the day hanging out seperately with the Bride & Groom. Erin's dress was just gorgeous and totally fit her personality. I'm pretty sure the Best Man kept everyone including Pete laughing throughout their getting ready process.
Erin & Pete decided to have a private First Viewing so we could do photos before the ceremony. Maura & I took photos from both angles as they first saw each other. They were both all smiles. It was a wonderful moment to witness. Then we all moved over to the State Theatre for some fun and formal images.
Afterwards, we showed back up at the Wyndham for the ceremony. They were all smiles as the ceremony took place. I loved their faces as they handed each of their Mom's a rose during the ceremony.
After the cocktail hour, the reception got rockin. The Best Man, Maid of Honor and the Groom's Father all gave toasts. Then after dinner everyone started dancing. :-)
Thank you so much for trusting us with your Wedding. We had a fabulous time and wish you both nothing but the best for the present and future!
