October 8, 2011: Nikki & Rick

Jamie & I joined Nikki & her Bridesmaids for some getting ready photos before the ceremony. They were so much FUN.

Then we headed over to St. Robert & William Catholic Church for the ceremony. Everyone was so excited for Nikki & Rick. I loved watching Nikki walk down the aisle in front of the big stained glass window at the back of the church. They were so cute whispering to each other throughout the ceremony. Their Priest also had such a great sense of humor so it was a great experience listening to the service. Rick had the BIGGEST smile on his face at the end of the ceremony. They are just so sweet together.

We stopped off at a park inbetween to take some photos. It was a PERFECT fall day. The trees were so beautiful. The whole group had such a great time laughing and teasing each other. Then we moved over to Squire's Castle for some images. I just love shooting here. I could go back over and over again.

We ended the day partying at the Radisson in Eastlake. Nikki & Rick were so funny when they cut the cake. There were some very heartfelt and funny toasts. After dinner, all the dancing started. And the crazy-ness began. :-)

It was such a pleasure spending the day with you both and your Bridal Party. We had such an amazing time. Thank YOU!!!

October 1, 2011: Meg & Steve

When Meg, Steve and their Wedding Planner, Deb, told me they were planning a pirate wedding, I was all about jumping in. I couldn't wait for October 1st. And Meg & Steve didn't disappoint. :-)

We stopped at their hotel to do some getting ready images for Meg. Hanging out with her and her Bridesmaids was so much fun. Meg was full of smiles and so excited about the day.

Unfortunately the wind and rain nixed an outside beach ceremony so we headed to Meg & Steve's friend's home for some images before the Wedding. Luckily their beautiful home was literally right on the Lake. So we were able to get some water in the background. It was also the first moment that Steve & Meg saw each other. It was amazing to watch them. They are so in love. I love love.

Then we headed to the Reception site which served as the new Ceremony site. They had a large anchor set up as the ceremony location. It was pretty darn cool. EVERYONE dressed up. I think maybe one or two couples didn't. It was awesome. The ceremony was beautiful. Steve's kids and some close friends of the couple were included as wedding party attendants.

After a large group image with everyone dressed in their pirate garb, they party began. There were sword fights, skulls in the bathroom, crossbones on the cupcakes, tons of booty in the form of yummys and ships to eat in the middle of every table. The couple were very excited about the whole pig which they served for dinner. And it was delicious!

I had so much fun. Congratulations Meg & Steve!
